The Power of You

May 30, 2010

I was just reading the posts I’ve already done, and I had an idea that I want to share. If anyone is planning on buying one of those high-priced hand bags that I mentioned in my first post, or anything else, for that matter, would you consider donating that money, instead, to feed the poor or to any charity that you would choose? What a selfless act that would be, of such a precious person- YOU.

One charity that I personally believe in is, Hand of Hope:  http://www.joycemeyer.org/OurMinistries/HandOfHope

May God bless you and keep you- God loves you!!!

If You Can See It

November 12, 2009

What if everyone in this country followed God- The One true God, and allowed Him to speak to them, when they opened the Holy Bible and started to read it. What gifts and talents might be discovered by each person? If everyone asked God to show them His will for them, as an individual, and for His help making right choices in their lives- if everyone were to reach out and help someone else, everyday- or even, just smile at someone they didn’t know, every day- what would it hurt? The Bible states that we’ve all been given the measure of faith- what are you putting that faith in, in your life?

What’s Wrong?

I was watching 20/20, and was astonished to find out what people will pay for designer/luxury handbags. The one above sells for $2,230- and it is one of the cheaper ones. To all of the women out there, the bag doesn’t make you special- your self-worth is not in material things. You are worth so much more and if you think ”the bag” is what makes you, look in your heart and you will see that that’s not true. Stop doing what everyone else is doing, just because everyone else is doing it. Be yourself and know that you are incredible, already, without all the ”stuff.” Spend some time listening to your heart. What is it you’re really seeking?
